Buying organic food in rural areas
Hello
We have recently opened the first Organic, vegetarian village store
in the Scottish Borders (having converted part of our home).
Living in a rural community, we became fed up with more than
doubling our shopping time and having to travel long distances to
source a variety of good vegetarian organic produce. Having been
open for just 6 weeks now, it seems there are many like minded
people. As well as a wide range of food produce, such as
wholefoods, breads & rolls, pastas, fruit & veg, cereals, wines &
beers, we also stock eco friendly cleaning products, some of which
can be refilled on the premises. We don't have our own web site as
yet, we hope to have one up and running in the next month or so, in
the meantime we hope you will include us on yours.
Kind regards

Ancrum Organic Village Store
Hello
That's so wonderful... well done for taking that risk and reaching out to your community! I lived in Somerset for a while and remember the paradox of moving to the countryside to be able to get closer to nature, and yet having to cut corners with organic and eco-friendly shopping. It's just so much easier to find great organic food in a big city.
I wish you every success with your village store - how gorgeous that it's in your home! Please send me the address, and we'll list you in our shopping guide.
Best wishes
Ysanne
