I was told that frozen organic vegetables could be processed with MSG, because that is considered a natural food – derived from soy. I did have an allergic reaction to this one package of vegetables – purchased from Five Star Foods, back in 2005. I’ve avoided them since. Do you know anything about this? Debbie

Frozen vegetables do no contain MSG whether they are organic or not.
There’s no reason to add MSG to vegetable when you freeze them. MSG does not assist the freezing process. Vegetables are always frozen as close to picking as possible, when they naturally taste as good as they can. MSG is a flavor enhancer, so to waste time and money adding it to a product that doesn’t need it makes no sense, even if the company has no interest in organic food and is trying to cut as many corners as possible.
