Hi, I was wondering if you could clarify something for me. Are wheat berries the same thing as wheatgrain seeds? I’m looking to sprouting in order to make sprout bread. Thanks in advance.

Thanks Ysanne.
Sorry to bother you again, but is that the same as wheatgrass seeds? So are wheat berries, wheatgrain seeds and wheatgrass seeds all the same? And do you happen to know where I could buy the hard wheat seeds variety? No one seems to know whether they’re selling hard wheat or soft wheat, and obviously hard wheat is better for bread. Thanks again.
All best,
Bea

Hi Bea,
Any sort of wheat seeds will be just fine for making bread. They’re all the same thing. Seeds to grow wheat from. Wheat grass is a term for young wheat plants that haven’t formed heads of wheat yet. But all kinds of seeds that you can grow wheat from would be just perfect for your sprouted wheat bread. Hard or soft, it’s all good and will all be soft by the time you’ve finished sprouting them.
Best wishes
Ysanne
