This was a new one on me. At lunchtime today I ran into my room mate Kerry and offered her a sprouted wheat bagel with Humboldt Fog smelly goat cheese from San Francisco. She seemed pretty excited about that, and offered me some of her juice. Kerry and her juice are pictured here… goji berry juice.
It’s quite a thick juice, definitely sweet, but not too sweet. A little glass was enough, as it’s full flavoured and rich. Delicious!

I’ve seen it here and there. Bah! Something new that’s yummy and nutritious that’s from the other side of the world. I was just getting used to cutting way down on ginger…

This is superb stuff. There are different types though. The best and strongest type is the Himalayan Goji Juice. I have found a website that sells it at a good price to in the uk. Give them a go. They are sound people to deal with to and offered me good advice. They have a website at http://www.perfect-shape.co.uk

gojis are great! they are one of the new breed of superfoods which unlike the spirulina or aloe vera of the old days taste as wonderful as they make you feel.
having said that, goji juice is a bit of a con. either it’s heavily processed and preservatised and has very little goji in it, or it’s the real deal but costs an arm and a yogically extended leg.
better to buy gojis, soak them in the best water you have, and drink the soak water, that’s yummy. or make them into smoothies.

The Wolfberry or Goji Berry from the Goji plant (Lycium Barbarum) flourishes in the Himalayan Mountains and has lots of great nutrients, antioxidants and even more amino acids (18). It has more Beta Carotene than carrots, more Iron than spinach and 500 times more Vitamin C by weight than oranges. These can be bought in dried form at leading supermarkets.
